The Diamond 580ALR has an aluminum grip section and piston rod to add substantial style to this fountain pen. The matte grip section and cap top ring feature concentric, ringed engravings. The internal piston-filling mechanism holds about 2 ml of ink and can be completely taken apart for thorough cleaning. Instructions and silicone grease are also included to aid in the maintenance of the pen.

The name TWSBI is made up from TWS and BI. ‘TWS’ is the reversed initials of the phrase ‘San Wen Tong’, translated Hall of Three Cultures, and ‘BI’ literally means writing instrument.
