    DESCRIPTION

    The Shikiori Tamatebako (Forbidden Treasure Chest) is a 20ml square glass bottle of Sailor fountain pen ink. “Forbidden Treasure Chest” is an enchanting deep blue hue, inspired by enigmatic gifts from an undersea dragon palace. The Fairytale Collection by Sailor was inspired by well-known Japanese Fairytales and resulted in four beloved Sailor pens: Dragon Palace, Vega, Princess Kaguya, and Grateful Crane. To accompany these fairytale inspired pens by Sailor, there are now four new Japanese fairytale inks that have joined the Shikiori line! This particular ink was designed to go with the Sailor Pro Gear Slim Dragon Palace. These water-based dye inks are designed to help creatives weave enchantment with ink right onto the page in front of them. Shikiori Japanese Fairy Tales inks add a touch of magic to every pen and brush stroke.

    Sailor pens was established in 1911 in Japan, becoming the first to produce fountain pens in their home country. They have subsequently built a first-class reputation in the manufacture of the highest quality nibs, with all parts made in their own factory in Hiroshima.

    I’ll admit I was skeptical about the Hongdian C1 at first, particularly since I rarely use fine nibs.
    However, any hesitation vanished the moment I put pen to paper. The writing experience is truly charming and smooth. I’m also impressed by the included converter, which holds a generous amount of ink.

    It has quickly become a staple in my daily rotation—so much so that I’ve already purchased four more! I have gifted the white one to one of my friends who also become very happy. The yellow one is hijacked immediately by my daughter!
