    The Pilot Metropolitan is the complete package. Handsome, well made, and surprisingly affordable, every member of the Pilot Metropolitan series is just as at home in the boardroom as it is as a knock-around everyday writer. The Pilot Metropolitan is seriously classy. Its brass body is beautifully curved, with a cigar-like shape. It has an overall matte finish and a glossy or patterned band just below the cap. The fountain pens have black plastic grip sections and snap-on caps with simple metal clips. The caps can be posted on the backs of the pens. The sleek silhouette of the Pilot MR animal Collection is inspired by the gentle and rounded lines of a cocoon. The softness of its fluid lines are highlighted by a discreet touch of wildness: the Middle Ring in its animal motifs. Pilot Metropolitan MR2 Fountain Pen Python comes fitted with our precision Stainless Steel Nib. You get an option to choose from Fine and Medium.

    Perfect first pen

    The Pilot Metropolitan is the perfect first pen for any fountain pen beginner. I got this in M, and it writes very smooth. Will highly recommend the M nib for beginners. The pen came included with a converter, and I have been using the Parker Quink Black. Planning to order a wetter ink and mostly decided on the Pilot for this pen to increase the smoothness even more

    I’ll admit I was skeptical about the Hongdian C1 at first, particularly since I rarely use fine nibs.
    However, any hesitation vanished the moment I put pen to paper. The writing experience is truly charming and smooth. I’m also impressed by the included converter, which holds a generous amount of ink.

    It has quickly become a staple in my daily rotation—so much so that I’ve already purchased four more! I have gifted the white one to one of my friends who also become very happy. The yellow one is hijacked immediately by my daughter!
