This is the last edition in the series made from white, yellow and lilac marbled Auroloide, this pen is a masterpiece on its own. Aurora, an Italian brand was founded in 1919 in Turin. The use of precious materials, superb craftsmanship, and attention to detail is the hallmark of Aurora pens. The Optima re-evokes the elegance and sobriety of a model which made history in the Thirties. There's a nice ink window that hides underneath the cap. The Optima has Aurora's special reservoir that allows you to get another page or so of writing even when you think you've run out of ink. You just unscrew the piston knob and that releases enough ink to let you finish your thoughts.
