These exquisitely romantic inks are perfect for fountain pens since they are naturally scented and do not contain pigments. Herbin scented inks are made from floral water (hydrosols) of rose, orange, lavender and violets. The hydrosols used by Herbin come from Grasse in France, a Provencal town long associated with the perfume industry and famous for its floral scents. Fashioned with great care, scented inks are inspired by a tradition that began in Italy in the 19th century. Herbin collects different scents from the perfume industry and add them to their inks. Each 10ML glass bottle of Herbin Perfumed Ink Bottle Blue/Lavender fountain pen ink matches the colour and fragrance. It is a perfect size for trying the shade and also can be very handy to use while travelling.
Herbin is the oldest name in pen inks in the world. "The Jewel of Inks" was created in Paris in 1670. Herbin uses all natural dyes in their fountain pen inks. They are mainly composed of water, humectant to limit drying at the level of the pen and preservative to preserve their qualities over time. This natural composition is reflected in the very neutral pH of the inks. The dyes used have been specially selected to offer the richest color range on the market. Finally these inks are finely filtered so as not to clog the pens.
