The multi-layered transparent Burgundy lacquer on the barrel allows for the engraved wave pattern to shine through, made with the Guilloché technique. The cap features a pinstripe pattern also made by Guilloché technique. All trim parts are plated with platinum. The cap screws on/off and posts securely onto the back of the barrel when writing.
