The Sailor Manyo Ink Bottle is a 50ml square glass bottle of Hinoki dual shading fountain pen ink. This smooth-flowing water-based dye ink is specifically formulated to be safe for all fountain pens. Hinoki is a soft blue-grey that shades out to purple and green. As part of the third release in the Manyo ink series, Hinoki is a dual shading ink, which means it shades different colors than its base colors when pooling into areas of high and low concentration on the paper. Dual shading inks are really fascinating. This ink looks particularly stunning on water-resistant paper like Tomoe River. Due to the nature of this particular ink, there will be variations in the color. This is completely normal. However we have highlighted the most common color swatch we have seen in our images, but your sample or bottle might vary slightly.
