Teranishi is one of the traditional ink manufacturers in Japan with a history of over 100 years. They released a small series of four inks to celebrate the 1920s, which was very exciting for Japan. Haikara means fashionable in Japanese and was born 100 years ago as a buzzword or slang to react to westernized fashion, life and the people wearing such clothes. Many people preferring new designs or new colours, which did not exist in Japan before, came up to describe “new” “fresh” or “fashionable”.
