The Kaweco Original 250 Black Fountain Pen impresses with its elegant lines and clean design. The matte finish of the surface, in particular, creates a distinct sense of exclusivity. The minimalist design of the writing instruments harmonizes beautifully with the solid aluminum body, the chromated elements, and the highly scratch-resistant anodizing. While the basic shape is based on writing instruments from the late 1950s, the octagonal form imbues the original with the typical Kaweco product DNA. The grip section, in particular, makes the writing instrument instantly recognizable, as it is convexly shaped, unlike other Kaweco series. Thanks to its optimal barrel length, there is ample space for a large Kaweco standard converter. This can be screwed into the grip section via a threaded connection, allowing you to refill from ink bottles as well as Kaweco ink cartridges. The Kaweco Original is exceptionally well-balanced for extended writing sessions without the cap. For use on the go or when moving between meeting rooms, the Original can be securely attached to a writing pad or shirt pocket using the integrated clip. Five different nib sizes are available, from extra-fine to extra-broad. While the extra-fine nib (EF) is particularly well-suited for small, delicate handwriting, the extra-broad nib (BB) is often used for large, dramatic signatures. All nibs are made in Germany.
