The Leuchtturm1917 Bauhaus Edition Drehgriffel With its function and design, the Drehgriffel takes us back to the origins of the Bauhaus school of the 1920s - to designing with pen and paper. The discreet dot on the twist button also reminds us of this and echoes Wassily Kandinsky's motivating quote "Everything starts from a dot". The design principles of Bauhaus are also reflected in the colour contrast between the pen body, tip and turning head, which is reminiscent of Piet Mondrian's pictorial compositions.
