Herbin is the oldest name in pen inks in the world. M. Herbin created “The Jewel of Inks” in his shop on the Rue des Fosses Saint-Germain in Paris in 1670. Herbin uses all natural dyes in their fountain pen inks. They are mainly composed of water, humectant to limit drying at the level of the pen and preservative to preserve their qualities over time. This natural composition is reflected in the very neutral pH of the inks. The dyes used have been specially selected to offer the richest color range on the market. Finally these inks are finely filtered so as not to clog the pens. Each 100ML Bottle of Sapphire fountain pen ink has been designed keeping in mind high usage.
