The Staedtler Graphite mechanical pencil is a premium metal design pencil ideal for writing and drawing. It has an aluminium barrel and push-button and features a non-slip aluminium grip zone and an adjustable hardness degree indicator. A rigid cylindrical metal sleeve is ideal for use with rulers and templates. The hardness degree ring, metal clip and tip are chrome-plated. Available with a choice of 0.5mm, 0.7mm, 0.9mm, 1.3mm or 2.0mm lead, and all but the 2mm version have a replaceable eraser with clearing pin under the push-button. Lead size is indicated on top of the push-button. pencils are a special import from Japan, with the size as a number on the push-button, and the model number printed on the barrel near the clip. Others have a coloured ring on the button to indicate lead size.
